BACKPACK BLESSINGS
Backpack Blessings provides food for students in need during the weekend. We serve three schools: Browning Springs Middle School, West Broadway Elementary, and Grapevine Elementary Schools in Madisonville.
Through the ministry, M1UMC feeds over 100 children each weekend. This ministry is possible because of the charitable giving of the church.
GUATEMALA
Each year we take a team to Amor y Gracia Christian School in Guatemala. Our trips focus on relationship building and connecting with the teachers, students and families of the school.
When children are given an opportunity to learn and thrive in a loving environment, when they are taught a second language from a young age, when they are given access to a quality education, and, most importantly, when they are taught about the love and grace of God throughout their childhood, their lives are forever changed.
CHRISTIAN FOOD BANK OF HOPKINS COUNTY
Christian Food Bank has been serving Hopkins County since 1983. Jesus said that if someone is hungry, give them something to eat. That’s what they do.
Through the partnership with Christian Food Bank, our congregants donate food and time in their service to this local ministry.
